“Great person to work with. Went over and beyond to help everyone, even helping the kids. A genuine person who loves their place and wants people to feel welcomed. Beautiful setting, very nice dock area, enjoyable and relaxing decks. Awesome to have canoes or small motor boats to use for free or of very little cost. My daughter and I are definitely going to be returning guests several times a year.”

“Those who say there are only seven wonders in the modern world have either never been to the Garden Lake Resort, or they share my distrust of Chichén Itzá after seeing the opening credits of the Minions movie Despicable Me. This place has it all. Majestic views, great dock fishing, abundant wildlife, throwing stars, boats, cute cabins, blue roofs, crayfish and a resort owner so good at what he does that the resort ranking services had to wait for the perseid meteor shower to gather up enough extra stars to do them justice.”

“Classic up-north cabins that are cozy and comfortable but maybe a little dated. Each cabin has a nice porch with a terrific view of the lake, and access to a dock where you can fish or swim. Deer, grouse and other critters sometimes mosey through the open yard. All-in-all this place is a great value if you don't mind cabins that need a little refresher work. I would definitely stay here again.”

“I highly recommend Garden Lake Resort in Ely, MN! My family and I spent a week here and it was the most relaxing, beautiful, worry free week. Our two sons had a blast! The property is pristine, beautiful pine trees on a gorgeous lake. We caught lots of fishbon the docks and boats provided by the resort. We enjoyed swimming on them private beach and listening to the loons at night. The cabins are meticulous and have everything you need to just show up and relax. The owner, Tim, is super professional and helpful. We also did a day trip to the North Shore which is only an hour away. But there's so much to enjoy here and in the Ely area you can canoe and hike, and relax in the beautiful north woods. Highly recommend and will be back!”
